Create Text Layer

  1. Select *Type Tool* or press CTRL/CMD + T and create a Text
  2. Choose your font and style your text

Create Karton

  1. Select your Text Layer and Click Create Karton
  2. This creates a new Shape Layer beneath your Text Layer with a custom *Karton* effect.

Create Stroke

  1. Select your Karton Layer and Delete *Fill* and add a *Stroke* with a *Stroke Width* of about *4px*
  2. Change the *Color* to red

Create Handle

  1. Deselect everything
  2. Create a rectangle with a size of about *50px × 50px*
  3. Change the *Color* of the *Fill* to red
  4. Rename to “Handle - 1”

Stick the handle to the Karton

  1. Select the Karton Layer
  2. Select the Handle
  3. Click the Parent Button
  4. Drag the Handle of the Parent Button to the bottom–left corner of the Parent Button

Duplicate handle

  1. Select the Handle
  2. Click the Duplicate Button

Reposition handle

  1. Keep the duplicated handle selected
  2. Drag the Handle of the Parent Button to the mid–left corner of the Parent Button

Repeat

  1. Repeat the previous step until all of the corners of the Karton Layer are covered with handles

Styling

If you want you can make the handles on the edges smaller

  1. Select the edges handles
  2. Press S
  3. Change the *Scale* to *50% × 50%*

Success!! 🎉🎊🎈🥳

Now you can animate the Text, scale, rotate, reposition or adjust the *Padding* and the handles will follow the edges and corners.
